Born in Vienna in 1962, Markus Wolf became first concertmaster of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra in 1987 and has been first concertmaster at the Bavarian State Opera since 1989.
In 1981 he founded the "Vienna Beethoven Trio" with whom he made eleven CD recordings. From 1997 to 2002 he was guest concertmaster of the London Symphony Orchestra.
Since 2005 he has held his own violin class at the Musikhochschule in Munich, and in 2000 was awarded the honorary title of "Bayerische Kammervirtuose."
