While still at school, the clarinettist Georg Arzberger was a preparatory student of Harald Harrer at the Leopold-Mozart-Konservatorium / Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg-Augsburg, before beginning to study under Martin Spangenberg at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar. He already received several prizes and scholarships as a student and won the culture award presented by his native town, Aichach.

Since the summer semester of 2019, Georg Arzberger has been professor for clarinet at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich, after teaching at the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe in the same function from 2017. After his studies, he worked in the orchestra at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin from 2006 to 2017, at first as acting principal clarinettist and E-flat clarinettist, then as principal clarinettist from 2016. His orchestral activities took Arzberger to many major concert halls across the world and allowed him to work with many well-known conductors.

Another important facet of his work has always been chamber music. Georg Arzberger has devoted himself to this field with passion, and he can regularly be heard with acclaimed musicians such as Wen-Sinn Yang, Ingolf Turban, the Mandelring Quartett, Dag Jensen, Andrea Lieberknecht and Julian Riem. He is also the artistic director of the Musikfest Blumenthal, which he co-founded and which had its premiere in 2021.
